Cave tubing in Bejiharjo Village involves floating on a 350-meter underground river. The water depth ranges from 5 to 12 meters. You need practical clothing and gear that can handle being entirely soaked.
What clothing should I wear for Pindul Cave tubing?
Wear swimwear or clothes you do not mind getting completely wet.
Avoid heavy materials like denim. Instead, choose lightweight, quick-drying fabrics. You will wear a mandatory life jacket and safety helmet over your clothes at all times during the 45 to 60-minute journey.
What footwear is best for cave tubing?
Wear water shoes, rubber sandals, or secured flip-flops.
Your feet will be exposed and submerged throughout the tubing experience. Secure footwear protects your feet while walking to the cave entrance. It also prevents you from losing your shoes in the river.

How do I protect my phone and valuables?
Use a waterproof phone pouch and a waterproof dry bag.
If you want to take pictures inside the cave, a waterproof phone pouch is necessary. You can also bring an action camera with a floating strap. Leave non-waterproof valuables in the secure lockers provided.
What should I pack for after the tubing tour?
Pack a full change of dry clothes, underwear, a towel, and toiletries.
Basic shower and changing rooms are available at the basecamp area. The operators do not usually provide towels, soap, or shampoo.

Do I need sun protection?
Yes, sunscreen is useful for the outdoor sections of the tubing.
While the 350-meter cave is shaded, you will spend time outdoors before entering. If you add the Oyo River Tubing course, you will spend another hour in open-air sunlight.
Questions travellers ask
Are life jackets provided?
Yes. Wearing a provided life jacket and safety helmet is mandatory at all times during the tubing experience.
Can I wear regular flip-flops?
Yes, but make sure they fit securely so they do not slip off into the river. Dedicated water shoes or rubber sandals are a better option.
Do they provide towels at the showers?
No. You must bring your own towel and basic toiletries to use at the basecamp shower facilities after your river activities.
